Leadership Through Athletics believe:
- Young athletes develop character, personal strength and maturity when mentored in sports.
- Good sportsmanship celebrates the principles of trustworthiness, fairness and integrity.
- A gymnasium is an extension of the classroom, a place where learning is encouraged and knowledge is shared.
- A quality environment fosters a quality learning experience.
- To promote sportsmanship and encourage the development of sound character, our programs will be conducted in a manner that supports
the mental, social and moral development of our athletes.
- Competition encourages individuals to stretch their capabilities while acting with respect and honor.
- True leaders put values ahead of victories, teamwork ahead of trophies and personal growth ahead of personal greatness.
- Our programs will establish standards for participation by adopting ethical codes of conduct for athletes, coaches, spectators and other
groups that support our philosophy.
- The profession of coaching is a profession of teaching. (from The Arizona Sports Summit Accord). Therefore, it is the responsibility of
coaches to lead through word and example at all times.
