Open Gym
LTA holds Open Gym every Monday through Friday, from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm.  Youth are invited after school for basketball (pickup games, practice) and other recreation, as well as socializing and fun.

Admission to Open Gym is FREE for kids ages 8-18 with school ID or if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Open Gym may be cancelled due to special events a few times throughout the year. Please call (410) 737-2117 to inquire about the most recent, updated schedule.

Education Center
Leadership Through Athletics boasts a fully equipped education, meeting and homework center. The center features 10 computers with internet access, conference table for meetings or homework, and quiet space for studying or reading.

LTA provides free homework assistance and student mentoring.

The Education Center is open Monday through Friday, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and is FREE for students between 8 and 18.

LTA BASKETBALL REFEREE MENTORING PROGRAM
This FREE workforce development program will be open to male and female participants between the ages of 14-18 years of age. We will supply young athletes with the opportunity to learn the skill of Basketball Refereeing. This program will offer participants:

• The ability to participate in sports in a different capacity
• A chance to develop leadership and communication skills, while learning the true educational skill of refereeing
• The opportunity to become a licensed referee through the sponsorship of Leadership Through Athletics
• An opportunity to learn a trade that will pay a supplemental income as part-time work The only thing that Leadership Through Athletics will ask in return from its participants is to give back to the program and the community by helping the next generation of the young leaders as they move through the LTA Signature Programs.
